Fern and Dina’s Gallery and Gifts is the fulfillment of a dream of entrepreneurship for both Serey Andree and Eva Marie Burns. These two founding partners met 10 years ago while attending a clay class with Esther Shimazu at Penland School of Crafts. They are both artists and former art teachers with experience in retail sales, management, and customer relations.

After moving to Fernandina Beach in 2016, Serey and her husband, Mike, acquired and renovated an old law office building at 26 S. 5th Street in the downtown historic district. Serey and Eva Marie opened Fern and Dina’s Gift Shop & Gallery on July 5, 2017.

The Gift Shop features unique treasures from local, regional and international artists, and the Gallery features investment art ranging from art glass pieces to original paintings to quality prints.

The renovated 2,500 square foot space also houses a classroom space and private artists’ studios for rent. The classroom will be an art education source for a wide variety of classes and workshops for all ages including instruction in ceramics, painting, life drawing, book arts, printmaking and journaling.

With a firm belief the arts are important for a higher quality of life, to create, to make creative decisions, and to connect with their community, Eva Marie and Serey are excited to launch this endeavor in their new home of Fernandina Beach.
