If you like a challenge, this is the class for you.
Sandra Baker-Hinton, National Watercolor Society Signature Member, will be doing a three session workshop which will lead to the creation of two finished paintings at the conclusion of the three sessions.
You will work in an abstract style, but we will include figurative elements found in our environment such as sea shells, coral and ferns.
Each week will build on the previous week. You will learn:
· a wide range of painting techniques including layering.
· many ways to treat the surfaces with various media.
· about the paint, tools and brushes to achieve different effects.
Though you will be working on Hot-pressed watercolor paper, these techniques can be easily applied to traditional watercolor, mixed media, or acrylic on canvas paintings.
During drying time of the main work of art, you will work on a smaller piece in which you will use different materials (gel and gesso) for creating textures (collage).
$ 150 includes Archival quality paint & paper
Call Sandra @904-557-1195 or Fern and Dina's @ 904-261-5566 to register.

This is the first class of three. The next two classes are on April 25th and May 2nd.
